Our Projects
Jeremiah Kitchen
Valley Built is owned and operated by Jeremiah Kitchen. A journeyman carpenter with Red Seal Endorsement, Jeremiah was born and raised in Whitehorse, Yukon. With deep family roots, on both sides, in “the valley” and greater Ontario. He moved to Toronto in 2010 to attend acting school, while simultaneously completing a carpentry apprenticeship. As an ancestor of polish immigrants who worked in the logging industry and settled in Wilno, the desire to work with wood is in his DNA. After running a successful business in Toronto for 10 years and booking some great acting jobs at the same time, Jeremiah fell in love and moved to Ottawa. In a perfect city to raise a family, he rebuilt his business and found a fondly missed community spirit. As an artist, Jeremiah see’s every project he takes on through that lense. It can be as simple as closet shelving or as complicated as a custom news desk, all the details are seen and addressed to his satisfaction. During his apprenticeship he framed row houses, custom homes, spec homes, kit homes, and did a summer of production framing. Siding, interior finishing, countertop installation, and custom cabinet installation were all part of his training. After moving to Toronto he taught himself custom cabinetry after he found he couldn’t say no to challenging and unique projects.
